GaryNOVA a year agowow I was totally blown away by this. I’m somewhat of a fan of Bill Maher but nowing his style I totally went into this thinking he was going to be the instigator and act like an A-hole. But thats the opposite of what happened. I can’t believe he came out of that looking so good. in fact he pretty much said nothing. it wasnt even a ‘fight’. it was just a crazy rant by Hasselback.

Benjamin Sapiens a year agoHis joke was offensive and inappropriate and wrong, and he deserves to be called out for it, but he’s still a far more decent person and vastly more likable than Hasselbeck. Bill is fantastic because he tells it like it is and doesn’t give a crap who gets offended. He can be an asshole and a douche, but he uses his dickbag powers for good, rather than for evil. His liberalism is great but he takes way to much pleasure from the nasty politically incorrectness he sometimes spews.

Ross M. a year agoIt’s an effing joke and it wasn’t about “trading women” it was a simple substitution: Send back the hot woman who doesn’t deserve mistreatment and we’ll send a hot woman who does. In this case it’s Hasselbeck because Bill Maher runs a left-leaning show and republicans are the villains. She’s a (the only?) outspoken hot republican therefore she fits the bill for the substitution. If Bill Maher’s show had been right leaning the substitution would have been the Dixie Chicks or some outspoken hot democrat. It’s a joke. If you don’t want to be the butt of jokes then don’t stick your neck out for what you believe in.

BVPComedy a year agoIf he’s going to slam her in front of a ton of viewers on his own network, she can ask for an apology in front of a ton of viewers on her own. I’m glad she stood up for herself and also in a way that does show how tasteless it is to wish brutal harm and rape on someone and then be pro-woman. Like either of them or not, she did the right thing.
