What Should Your Posh British Name Be?

Persephone can be shortened to Sephy, or if you are trying to fool people into thinking you're a commoner "Perry". The name Persephone originates from Greek mythology, she was the product of one of many of Zeus's flings. And like Zeus Persephone is still wild at heart. Persephone was described by Homer as "venerable majestic queen of the underworld". Like the original Persephone, you too like to be a little edgy. Persephone takes lots of photos by the family loch for Instagram, and has quite a decent following. She was in Tatler once and won't let you forget it.

A Roman name, Septimuses of the past used to ride chariots, and now he probably cruises around in Daddy's Range Rover. Septimus originated as something to call your seventh son, useful if you forgot what order they came out in. But nowadays Septimus probably just has custom number plates with lots of sevens in them, or gambles his family fortune away but always choosing "good ol' lucky seven". When will you learn Septimus.

Cressida doesn't take any bullshit. She is the kind of posh woman who is more at home mucking out the horses than prancing around a ballroom. Cressida gets drunk on vintage port a lot, and then calls the Queen the wrong thing. Cressida is always the life and soul of a ceilidh.

Octavia refuses to accept that the aristocracy is a dying breed, she desperately want to marry a lord and always wears white gloves to evening dinners. Octavia has already chosen the names for her children, Orlando, Paris and Ophelia. Her mother thinks the name Orlando is common though, because the Beckhams used it.

He dated a girl that went to state school, and considered applying to work in the third sector. Tarquin is a modern rebel, very partial to a bit of Byron.

Crawford's whole life is spent preparing to take over the family estate, when his father, Crawford I, passes away. He studies land economy, and is pleasant to those less fortunate than him. He strongly believes in chivalry, but mourns the simpler times of the past, when everyone knew their place.

Cordelia went on a gap year, and it was deffos the best time of her life. She got a small tattoo on her ankle and she was nearly written out of the will because of it. But once she explained the spiritual meaning behind it daddy came round. She was county dressage champion when she was younger, but has given all that up to pursue her acting career.

Rupert has big dreams, when Daddy finally pops it he's going to turn the grounds of the house into a golf course. He's sure that it can become Wiltshire's number one wedding venue. Rupert looks to the future, he realises the aristocracy needs to move with the times.

Henrietta put her job title on Linkedin as a "socialite". She doesn't know why she got Linkedin as she's quite happy with her current career. She was offered a role in _Made In Chelsea_ but turned it down because she thought it was tacky.
