More hate speech from a twat who can’t understand their opinions (or the opinions of their chosen “God”) aren’t universal and that they have no right to impose them on others. This man should NEVER be given a position of power. NEVER.
You assert that it’s not fair for her to blame her religious upbringing but don’t counter any of her points or offer any explanation for why you think it’s unfair. A madman did something terrible to her but it’s how she processed the ramifications of that act and how that affected her psychologically, that her religious instruction should take the blame for. Basing a person’s worth on a religious notion of “purity” is amazingly backwards and harkens back to when women were considered property. Second-hand goods are always less valuable than something brand new and untouched but anyone who applies this thinking to another human being needs to reassess their views on humanity.
If your only rebuttal to Elizabeth’s remarks is “but Jesus loves you”, it’s you who are propping up a dogmatic agenda.

Say what? You do realise that you yourself fall under one of those two headings? You either believe in a god or gods, or you have no such belief. It’s a binary proposition. I can’t imagine how you could get them mixed up. Then again, maybe I’m just incapable of imagining that volume of stupidity and ignorance.
One thing this story doesn’t mention is that she spoke to the organisers of the event and had these guys thrown out. Try explaining why you got thrown out ofaconference to your boss. If you think she wasn’t trying to get them fired, you can’t deny thatareasonable person would see it asalikely consequence of the actions she took.
Also, there’sabig difference between making and inappropriate comment and makingasexist remark. Just because the comment had something to do with sex, doesn’t make it sexist or even sexual harrassment.
