Terrafugia Transition Flying Car May Finally Fly
The Terrafugia Transition has been fighting to spread its wings for more than five years. Today, the National Highway Safety Commission granted an exception to the vehicle, which will allow it to use its custom tires and plastic window panels rather than the standard tires and glass panes required of other road-going vehicles. Now, Terrafugia predicts to ship the first plane-car by 2012.
