Cheeky, Ebert. Very cheeky.

If Ryan Dunn had survived the crash, he'd be up for manslaughter charges right about now. Just sayin'.

A man was drinking and driving and you are all praising him. Yeah sucks that he died, but Ebert was not in the wrong whatsoever. Whoever drinks and drives, even the slightest bit, is a jackass. Let's not forget speeding over 100 miles per hour. Another endangerment. Tragic, but a lot of stupidity on his part that Ebert did well pointing out so some other idiot doesn't make the same mistakes.

He was drinking thats a fact. But we don't know if we was drunk. NEVERTHELESS, you do not drink under any influence what so ever. You know those commercials… I forget the insurance company. Even a few doesn't mean its good to drive. On that side. It is confirmed he was speeding at 110 mph. So even if not drunk, you were speeding and could have killed even more people. It is a shame, but it could have been seriously avoided. If you don't like to truth you need help. Roger Eberts just did it too soon.

If Ryan Dunn didn't want people pointing out what a dumbass he was, maybe he shouldn't have driven drunk. I'm glad he died and not some innocent person in another vehicle

I have no problem with what Ebert tweeted. The fact is, as sad as it is when any person dies, this is a guy who made a living being recklessly stupid and encouraging others to emulate him. AND he posted pictures of himself and his friends drinking right before getting into a car accident and getting himself killed. At this point, the only positive part of this story is that his irresponsibility didn't hurt anyone else, and never will again. RIP, Mr. Dunn, but you don't get a whole lot of sympathy from me.

I don't care who he poked fun at. I just can't stand Roger Ebert.

The less I have to think about Roger Eberts creepy jaw, the better.

Has it been proven or just assumed he was dui? What a stupid thing to say with nothing to back it up besides one photo and an assumption.

guys, there's really no body to do a blood alcohol test on. that car flamed to nothing. who knows if he was driving or the friend was? who cares? no one will ever know. all we have is some eye witness accounts at a bar and one tumblr picture of him with a beer. so let's stop pretending we have facts about what happened and let the man's family and friends mourn without arguing and being disrespectful about it.

Commenting like this before actual reports are in is kinda wrong. While I appreciate the concern shown by Ebert for the general public, its too early to criticize the dead for both ethical and practical reasons.

I'm going to side with Ebert on this one. Jackass fans can pretend to mourn Ryan Dunn all they want. Whether he was drunk or speeding, or both, his irresponsibility took not only his life but his friend's as well. What a goddamn waste.

My opinion of Roger Ebert has really soured over the years… This just made me not want to listen to him anymore.  I'm not a huge fan of Jackass. I liked their movies well enough for what they were: Mindless entertainment, but the passing of a dude that didn't really want to hurt anybody (except for himself) should really be taken seriously. It would be funny if this joke was somehow made five years in the future, whilst still being relevant… so not really at all.
