You’re a whale shark! You are gentle, friendly, and a joy to be around. The whale shark is a gentle giant that enjoys warm waters and tropical oceans.   
The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is a large, slow-moving, filter feeding shark. These sharks grow up to 30 or 40 feet in length and weigh approximately 40,000 pounds. They are the largest fish in the sea! Look for whale sharks in open, tropical oceans. They are rarely found in water below 72 °F. Despite their size, these sharks are completely harmless to humans because they feed almost exclusively on plankton. You’re a bull shark. No one messes with you! The bull shark is a strong and agile shark that can stand its ground (or water) .  
According to experts, bull sharks (Carcharhinus leucas) are some of the most dangerous sharks in the world! These aggressive sharks tend to hunt in waters where people often swim (think tropical shorelines, warm, shallow waters along coasts and in rivers), making them very dangerous to humans.

You’re a hammerhead shark! You turn heads wherever you swim. These are some of the most visually interesting and unique sharks in the ocean.   
Hammerhead sharks (Sphyrnidae) are skilled predators that use their uniquely shaped heads to find prey. By spreading their eyes over their wide, hammer-shaped head, they can easily scan the ocean for their favorite meal: stingrays. Unlike many other fish, hammerhead sharks do not lay eggs. A female gives birth to live young, and a litter can range from six to about 50 pups.

You’re a frilled shark! You, like these sharks, are fierce, unique, and the ultimate hide-and-seek masters.   
Sometimes described as a “living fossil”, the frilled shark (Chlamydoselachus anguineus) is rarely seen by humans. Unlike all other sharks, which have separate gills, the frilled shark’s first pair of gills go all the way across its throat. Each pair of gills is lined at the edges with red “fringe,” which is where it gets it’s name! These sharks live all over the world, but in depths between 390 and 4200 feet. This is why people won’t see them unless they venture to the surface, which is very rare.

You’re a pyjama shark! You like a life of leisure: during the summer months, pyjama sharks often congregate into shoals- sleep all day, hunt all night!   
The pyjama shark (Poroderma africanum) is a species of catshark found in the coastal waters of South Africa. These sharks spend most of the day lying motionless and hidden from predators and hunt at night. They prey upon bony fish, hagfish, other small sharks, shark egg cases, and a wide range of invertebrates. Pyjama sharks often forms groups, called shoals, during summer season. When threatened, the pyjama shark curls itself into a circle with its tail covering its head.
