20 Moments In The First Semester Of Senior Year

Life is all fun and games until you realize that graduation is around the corner.

1. School is great but thankfully is almost over

The start of your senior year is the happiest of times. You realize that this is your last year in pri...er, school. All you have planned are BS classes, hanging out with friends and partying your life away.

2. Life is grand, nothing is hard, all is good

You are just going with the flow: attending school events, getting free things, partying it up and killing your liver.

3. "Screw it, let's make this year count"

You've survived three years being a model student (*wink*) and now is time to just go crazy. Get weird before you do it in the real world where responsibilities are higher and penalties worse.

4. You start experimenting

College is a time for exploration but you were too scared to do it the first three years--making the grade was a bit more important than partying it up every weekend (cute~~). Senior year is literally the last hurrah before you face the cold world. Might as well go for it (Responsibly).

5. All is well with the world

You survived that party. You made it back after homecoming. You are getting along with your roommates. Classes are easy.

6. Then you remember that your midterms are here

Instead of starting that 10 page essay, you went to the Greek Social. The tests and projects are literally upon you and you forgot because Senior year was supposed to be fun and carefree. Now you sit in your apartment struggling.

7. You realize that life is here and coming with a vengeance.

Your 9 page essay? Due in the morning and you barely typed your name.

Your extracurriculars? All those projects that you are the head of are due tomorrow morning too.

That project for work? Due the following day.

Food? Maybe in the evening.

Sleep? Nope.

8. There's a test in that class too....

Because of your amazing ability to teach yourself two books in one night and finish all your other projects before the class, you forgot about the test. Now you begin to panic and notice that the syllabus says that this is one of your big tests (weighted as 5 separate homework assignments). You lose your nails and couple of years off your life span.

9. Midterms are over

You survived midterms and you know your friends are there to celebrate this moment.

10. Wait... school is still in session

Not only are you still going to class after that grueling week...your professors thought it would be a good idea to leave you with bigger projects to finish during break.

11. You execute your meanest face throughout the week

If you are not sleeping, eating or hanging out with your close friends, you are most likely using this face--people know not to address you unless you acknowledge them first.

12. Then the weekend is here and you are free for break

Your last class of the day was fairly painless, you got a free cupcake between classes, you were complimented on your outfit. A great ending to a torturous week.

13. Back home, you are free to do as you wish

You are chillin' with your squad, driving around town and overall enjoying this well deserved break.

14. Until you remember you have homework

Ok, but like, break is suppose to be a break...right? No?

15. So you get your Homework free break

Now you are back in your apartment tackling over 20 pages of things that were suppose to be done in the span of a week in a single night.

16. Magically, you finish all your work in a single night and make it to class on time

Like, you deserve a high five, an award and a beer after that accomplishment.

17. The rest of the semester is a blur

The second half of the semester has left you wishing you had done a different major, gone to a different school, dropped out and just become a stripper. You are burnt out and everything takes energy. Essentially, you start living life on auto pilot.

18. But you survived

You completed the first semester of your last year. *claps claps*

19. But then you remember that grades are due next week...

And that's when you start calculating your points for each class and realize that you are at the mercy of the professor.

20. Grades are up

You didn't make it on the Dean's List but you didn't fail either. And with that, you are finally done with that hell of a semester. You bid your friends adieu and peace out for the holidays. Until next semester where you repeat the cycle one more damn time.
