eyesofpercept a year agoThere’s still plenty of sexism in household ads today. How many cleaning product commercials on tv now show a man cleaning or doing laundry? Next to none.

PauperPrincess a year agoThere are two current commercials that I know of. Both are for Tide — one is a stay at home dad folding laundry, and the other is a Mom and Dad folding their twins’ clothes.

josha2 a year agoThat is because the ones that do show “dad” as an individual so inept that it is a wonder he managed to get as far in life as he did. Not saying these are justified in anyway, they send a cringe down my spine really. But now days the advertising game seems to send negative stereotypes both ways. Granted, not always, but they are still there.
