Music Buzz Until a one-two punch of La Bouche and Ace of Base caused a rogue faction to cut the power, we were having '90s music nostalgia day in the BuzzFeed office today. But that's no reason the musical nostalgia-fest can't continue online! What was the first record you owned? Comment below, or better yet, upload a music video from the album. Points will be awarded for general awesomeness.
The first album that i bought was Master Of Puppets - Metallica. But the first i got (downloaded) was Rust In Peace - Megadeth :)
Lionel Richie - Dancing on the Ceiling
It's all true :(
This made me remember how much I hated Cornell's last album
first time i liked music so much
Released in 1981… and I still listen to it.
One more mention. I think this was the first CD I bought with my first ever paycheck from my first ever job. Wow, and I thought I had NOTHING in my musical history to be ashamed of.
Yes, my very first album of my own. I think I was 8 or 9.
Spice Girls!!! I was 10 and really loved my bubblegum pop.
Its Hammer Time…i got it with a pack of socks that i bought at footlocker when i was 7….the first cd that I outright owned was Tragic Kingdom-No Doubt…both are classics….
Shootin' at the walls of heartache, bang, bang, I am the warrior
Well I am the warrior, and heart to heart you'll win..if you survive
the warrior….the warrior
Since this is the first album I owned and not bought for myself here is my first album a gift of an LP record, in 1978. Pretty groovy for a little kid. Next one, of grown up music I owned was taped for me, Michael Jackson's Thriller. The first album I bought for myself is a co-honor shared by Nirvana's Nevermind and Garth Brooks Ropin' the Wind.

I played this album everyday in 1976. Stevie Wonder “Songs in the Key of Life”
along with PYROMANIA and SHOUT AT THE DEVIL…i was 13 - it was the deliquent kids dream kit….shouting, barking and setting things on fire….ahhh youth
Bye, Bye, Bye, Bye…. Can't believe I use to love this album(I was 10 years old when I bought this album)
“No Sleep Till Brooklyn” FTW!
I got the tape in 1985, I was in 5th grade… memorized the whole thing. I still know every song by heart.
