Australia needs to float up and hang with Canada. The UK and Scandinavia can come too, but only if they bring Prince Harry and those cute little doubledecker buses.

Ok so I'm Irish. I've been following this and cons seem to think that they're going to be taxed to death. It really doesn't work out that expensive. I pay like $12 a week from my wages for health insurance (everybody has to pay it). With that $12 I can go to an emergency room whenever I need to and not worry about getting a big bill. If something bad happens to me I can get free treatment and I know I'm going to be safe for life. I have private healthcare too (In case I'm in hospital for a long time and want a private room). If the treatment can't be given in Ireland the government will pay for you to get it done abroad. We don't have the best healthcare system in the world but we still have loads of private hospitals if you want that option. This is about people not being selfish and realizing that they can help people in worse circumstances than them not die because they can't afford treatment. I don't see what the problem is in the States.

I'm from Brazil and we don't have a good health care…The government says we have universal healthcare but it don't works. It's a crap healthcare that only poor guys use it and die waiting for assistence. Who have money pay for a good one.

This isn't totally accurate. Japan is a multi-payer system. Australia also technically has a multi-payer system. Of course, the US does a great job taking care of Canada's rich people, so why would we need universal health insurance?
