Something You Love That’s Lame

I just confessed my love for Nicolas Cage movies in an earlier post, and it felt surprisingly good to finally be honest about that in public. This collection is designed to provide a similar service.   • I got the Dynasty album in 1979 on the day it was released. Still listen to it a few times a year. Hard to believe that album is 30 years old!

  • I love both Charlie's Angels movies. I have them on DVD, and between you and me, can't ever bring myself to watch the second one before the first. That's not how they're supposed to be viewed. Also, I got sad when I found out one was scratched. Also, I wouldn't be opposed to playing some Magic: The Gathering. Just so you know.

  • I'm flipping through channels, I see them, next thing I know it's a half hour later and I have zero recollection of what I'd been doing that whole time. The fact that they're british and the rabbits randomly walking around endear them to me further.

  • The 1980 Robert Altman Popeye musical. The music's excellent, and the movie itself is filled with subtly menacing carnival freaks not ideal for a children's movie. (Today I woke up with “It's Not Easy Being Me” in my head.)
