Here's where I think the confusion sets in: When you talk serious about things, it should not cause people to laugh at you; and when you joke about something, it should be somewhat less depressing than a visit to Yad Veshem. I'm here to help.

Rush once against uses absurdity to illustrate the absurd. The sad thing is that while Rush is joking, Sotomayor embraces her racist convictions. Way to knock one out of the “post racial park” there, Barry.

It amazes me that even after 20+ years on the air, people don't understand when Rush is joking. That's not a troll. That's not a serious question. It's a play on all the discussion of race in this Supreme Court nomination debate. It's “illustrating absurdity by being absurd.”
