Marmots notoriously are not down with human bros, but when Matteo Walch and his family started vacationing in the Austrian alps, this particular colony of marmots fell in love with him, and look forward to his visit every year. It’s not typical for me to miss the marmots in the picture but I LOVE THAT KID’S CLOTHES SO MUCH! Especially the first outfit - it looks so snuggly and retro. I’m having flashbacks, here. ~sigh~ I want to have babies just so I can dress them up in ways that make me happynostalgic.

I hit a marmot and killed it one time on accident when I was first driving and went on a mountain road. Have felt bad about it ever since :( And now these cute pictures of them just make me feel worse! They are like big adorable beavers!
