I'm with ya, I actually like the guy too. He's incredibly well-versed in the issues, a true politigeek. He's also taken the cue from the primetimers on MSNBC that it's ok to move to the left a bit, if so inclined.

I like Chris Matthews a lot. His “Hard Ball” label is pretty well earned, I think. He's one of the few commentators on television that will call people out when they're talking shit, and for that he is doing a tremendous service.
