Purring experts at the University of Sussex in England have just released a study showing that cats use a special kind of purr to coerce their guardians into giving them food. Unlike regular purring, the “soliciting purr” has a sound with a similar frequency to a human baby’s cry, which suckers like you naturally respond to.
