Call me cynical, but for the longest time I kept waiting to read that Drew Brees was actually a huge jerk like so many other sports figures. Particularly as a baseball fan, I almost feel that I can never really let myself actually _like_ a sports figure as a person anymore; there's always the doping, or the mistresses, or the gambling, or just that general attitude that athletic talent makes it okay to be a gigantic prick. But Drew Brees, actually seems to be talented and decent—and he seems happily married, has a ridiculously adorable kid that he obviously cares about, and just won the Super Bowl. Superhero indeed.
