I'm not going to lie, I'm a little underwhelmed. These are all After Effects presets. That being said, I know that I'm not good enough to do any of these yet.

It is not so much the effects I like, but the cuteness of the kid. I love his reaction after the hair-dryer blast.

hes been reading some tutorials.. its cool he wants to do this, but those are all standard, ready to go effects. i guess all that matters is that hes having fun. its cute that people that don't do editing, compositing or sfx think this stuff is amazing. look mom!! i put words on the internet!!

genius? what he's done in that video is hardly genius. for 12 it's cool he knows how to use after effects but calling him a special effects genius is stretching it. i would say his special effects ability is just above beginner.

Shouldn't this be titled, 12 year old gets dad to buy digital editing software?  If he's so good why do i have to ignore a red x? i have my own special effects video where i'm levitating with captions that read “ignore the chair i'm standing on.”
