Culture Buzz Kim Swann was fired for her changing her Facebook status to “is bored at work”. The bright side, as she sees it, is that the media attention has given her double the amount of facebook friends! Wow, maybe I should change my status from “my boss is an idiot”…..just to be safe.

That's just creepy. What was the offense? Being bored or being on facebook? Evidently the boss had plenty of time on his hands.
People are aware of the vast amount of privacy settings, right?
I've done the same thing, I guess I'm glad higher ups at my work don't know how to use computers!
It might be a blessing in disguise. If that's the kind of thing her boss thinks is a fireable offense he probably would have done something really crazy down the line once she'd been there longer then 3 weeks.
Two of my old co-workers were called into the bosses office for putting the same thing on their Facebook & IM status. Crazy.
