    Rebuilding Classroom 25

In the early hours of Friday, Dec. 23, New York teacher Natalie Rogovin’s classroom (room number AG25) at the High School for Public Service in East Flatbush, Brooklyn caught fire. FDNY believes the fire was intentionally set and most likely a random act of violence. The results of the fire and its aftermath have been devastating. The classroom, and everything within was destroyed. The New York City Department of Education is self-insured, which means it will cover the cost of rebuilding the walls and floors, but nothing else. This means that the text books, desks, and other classroom necessities are gone, unless Natalie can personally raise the money to purchase new replacements.
