1.When your parents are super conservative and make you sleep in separate rooms.
2.Or when you do sleep in the same room, and have to try not to, you know, sleep together.
3.Figuring out whether or not you should hug your S.O.'s parents, or do the awkward handshake dance.
4.When one of your parents inevitably makes a sex joke, and you vomit a little in your mouth.
5.When you take your S.O. out to a local bar and run into some idiot from high school who reminds you of that time you got drunk and tap danced in the parking lot of a Denny's*.
6.When your S.O. starts poking around your childhood bedroom and you go into a panic over what they might find.
7.When you start profusely sweating because you can't tell if your parents actually like your significant other.
8.The moment when someone in your family asks you both how "serious" your relationship is.
9.Which then escalates into the, "So, when are you getting married and having babies?" question.
10.When your crazy aunt makes a judgment about your S.O. just by looking at them.
11.Or when your S.O.'s family makes a super inappropriate comment and you have no idea how to respond.
12.Having a littleeee too much to drink at dinner and then discovering that, yes, you're drunk in front of the parents now.
13.Showering in someone else's house and figuring out whether you should come out in a towel, or fully clothed, or just lock yourself in there forever.
14.And not knowing whether to come downstairs in PJs, or get fully dressed in the morning.
15.When you need to poop, but don't want anyone in their family to know or hear that.
16.When one of you disagrees with someone in the family over politics, and you don't know whether to scream or burn the house down.
17.When you overhear your uncle asking your S.O. an impossibly awkward question, and you don't know whether to laugh or help.
18.When you get their parents a gift, and immediately know they hate it.
19.And that magically awkward moment when your parents say they like your S.O. more than they actually like you.
