Nothing wrong with trying to invest and chance a good ROI, but relying on Bernie Madoff to get you there can’t even remotely be seen as smart or insightful investing. It’s a cautionary tale for sports franchises (and business owners, by and large) and a radical but brilliant move by a man thinking about his own future.
