Dear HIMYM,
It seems all too real now that I've seem the first episode of the final season, it has finally solidified in my head that our journey is almost at an end, and I will miss you. Our time together has been magical. I cried when Lily and Marshall broke up (that was not cool writers) and while I was sad that Ted and Robin would never be together, it made this upcoming wedding all the more sweeter.
I've always considered this show to be the "Friends" of my generation because it so heart warming. There is a smart dorky guy who isn't afraid to be hopelessly romantic, a beautiful girl that everyone loves, the sometimes obsessive but well meaning best friend, the stable couple that makes everyone have faith that it will happen to them too and that one awesome person who always makes you laugh.
Having met the mother, she seems nothing short of sweet and absolutely perfect for Ted (as well she should be, I waited 8 seasons to see who she is). I'm amazed at how long those kids have sat on that couch and listened to Ted tell the story of how he met his mother and reaffirming the idea that destiny is real (and not just the 90s girl group).
I know our together is short, so I will endeavour to make every moment count and know that you will always have a special place in my heart.
