Why was the mandarin frozen? In Australian canteens we have lots of sandwiches, meat pies, sausage rolls, hamburgers and hot dogs. No chips (fries). My favourite day was Friday, a new special each time, with slightly more interesting foods! We could pay in the morning and then at lunch time it was loaded up in crates and taken to each class room.
