I was totally into this trailer… right up until the CG elves.

The CG looks horrendous, unfortunate since I can imagine the budget is enough to fund another economic stimulus package.

This is the movie about what if World of warcraft was real and they put you into your avatar so you can have fun,

The magic is supposed to be all about the 3D. Which is probably why watching it in a tiny format in 2D is underwhelming. Just like watching 2001 on your iWhatever would be underwhelming.

….well. hmm. i dunno. really. i will see it, but i remain skeptical. how many years has he been working on this? how much of his gigantic fortune was thrown into this?

ugh! you got my hopes up. I thought this was the trailer for the Avatar: The Last Airbender movie!

Super underwhelming. It looks like they're really proud of the effects, with the slow-mo emphasis and all, but why??

It wasn't until this post that I realized there are two Avatar movies coming out. This one, and the one based on the cartoon.
