Remember The Time Zayn Refused To Dance At "X Factor" Bootcamp?

Let's go back to when it all began.

Today we've been hit with the devastating news that after five years with One Direction, Zayn Malik has left the band.

The news was confirmed in a statement released by the band's PR company and everyone has lost their minds while their hearts physically break.

But the whole tragic event has just made us rewind back to the very beginning of One Direction at the X Factor bootcamp, where Zayn refused to take part in a dance session.

All the boys taking part in the competition where required to perform a dance routine. Just look at Niall busting those moves.

But then Simon Cowell and Brian Freeman noticed that one of the boys was missing. Where the hell was Zayn?

Well, Zayn was backstage sitting on his own because he didn't want to participate.

He said: "I seriously don't want to do it because I hate dancing and I'd just feel like an idiot."

But then Simon decided to go and find Zayn and find out what the hell was going on.

He told Zayn that he couldn't "just hide back here," and that he was "ruining" the opportunity for himself.

Zayn thought about it for a little while.

Before he decided he would participate after all. He shook Simon's hand before he went all Dad on him and said, "Don't do that again".

Because Zayn realised that Simon's logic of ruining his chance actually kinda made sense.

And he pulled these moves out of the bag so flawlessly.
