This is obviously wasn't an accident. As well, the shape was changed (by the Nazis) from the Buddhist symbol, its was flipped along an axis and rotated 45 degrees. This isn't all that weird in Japan. In fact… nothing's all that weird in Japan.

Nothing about that was accidental. The two lightning bolts are an Aryan nation symbol. Also there's a blatant swastika in the eagle winged Nazi emblem at the bottom. There is no possible way all that was an accident.

Aaron and Nick, you're kidding right? I'm sure you seem culturally savvy with your “it was a buddist symbol before it was a nazi symbol”, but in this context - the Luftwaffe sign, the “SS” logo and the German lettering points otherwise. Plus, Nazi imagery in manga is fairly common in Japan. And damn, some of those Japanese girls look taboo hot in them (see the pics I posted below).

Obviously not much of an accident - notice the other WWII / Luftwaffe imagery. A Japanese graphic designer would have no chance of being ignorant of the symbolism here.
