• Ummm… I couldn't disagree more. SNL isn't bad now, and people looking at the past in its hayday forget all the baaaaaad stuff they did inbetween the genius. This skit was stupid and insulting with no payoff, and having not seen the happening made as much sense to me as a toyota truck with peanut butter spread on top.

• his apparent lack of humor and 'tough guy' image is what made it funny in the first place. the fact that he really didn't like the skit just confirms his humorlessness, making it all the more hilarious to me. hooray.

• A clip from “The Happening,” in which Marky talks to a plastic tree, has been suggested as the inspiration for the SNL sketch. Man, that movie was weird.
