if the fetus is a girl does she have a right to choose what they do with her remains after the abortion. i mean that is the argument woman have isnt it, their right to choose. the male fetus is screwed i guess cause we cant have babies in our bellies.

A truly tough one, and so very confusing to a man.
For example, I think it's up to the woman to decide, and, for whatever reason, her decision, alone.
On the other hand, am I understanding this correctly….that most of the dissension on abortion is coming from people who applauded Bush junior's revenge war (the one that murdered some 4500 of this nation's children so that his stocks in war industries would rise), cheer Palin (the mook that flies around in helicopters randomly butchering wildlife), and are so quick to hop on the 'Capital Punishment is OK' train (even though so many have been unfairly tried and convicted based on their race)….
Is there logic here?

If you are dumb enough to spread your legs and get pregnant… then you should be at least smart enough to know that its not the baby's fault. Give the child to someone who would want it! Its not the kids fault your an idiot!!!

I'm pro-choice, but this is… wtf, and scary. What if other countries adopt this? Especially those where male children are preferred.

I'm getting an abortion right now!

I'm glad to see most of you supporting this decision not to meddle in the affairs of individual women and their bodies. A recent survey from back home has already shown that the vast majority of women are far from comfortable aborting human life, but they never regret having it done afterwards. My guess is that only a fraction of a percent will ever use abortion as a viable method of choosing the sex of their children. Even though it is now possible.

Nobody gets to decide which reason is justified and which isn't. You either have the right to choose or you don't. Why is your business.

If it's legal to have an abortion, why would it matter (in a legal sense) what your reason is? It may seem distasteful, but it's not hard to understand their reasoning.

Gender selection, as China is now finding out, leads to problems 18 years down the road.
