Dog Semen Custody Battle

After filing for divorce, a couple is now battling for custody of the frozen semen of their three Bull Mastiffs, Cyrus, Regg and Romeo. Mastiff puppies often go for $2,000 a piece, which means the fight could get bloody (or sticky, considering the context).

  • Seems pretty simple to me, but I'm no lawyer…the specimen goes to the person who owned the dog from which it came at the time the specimen was collected. If custody was shared at that time, the specimen goes to the current owner of that dog. From the vague details of the article, I'm led to believe that the ex-wife wins this case. Moving out of state doesn't constitute abandonment of the specimen.
