All the WTFs simply underscore how clueless some people are about this. No wonder we cant get this under control.

Funny and serious at the same time.

It's a public-service health ad, featuring a photo of a real baby, that attempts to drive home the point that babies can inherit more than cute anatomical features—they can also contract life-threatening illnesses carried by their mothers. The whole POINT of the ad is situational irony—the joy of a new baby and the concern that a parent presumably has for a baby's health, contrasted with the shock and dismay of an unexpected, potentially deadly, and preventable outcome. What exactly is “WTF” about it, given that the whole purpose of the ad is to cause people to think twice about how to prevent such a tragedy when they may be resistant to doing so?

It's sad that people think this is funny; it's important for pregnant women to know their HIV status. If she takes antiretroviral therapy, a pregnant mother can reduce transmission rates of HIV to between 1 & 2%.

I guess daddy's got the AIDS, too then now, huh?

I don't see what is so shocking about this… Makes perfect sense to me. Why the WTF's?
