asdafdrdafs a year agoAll polling from the last year shows that people in favor of same-sex marriage outnumber people who oppose it. Every pollster other than Pew shows a majority in support (whereas Pew has a 47% plurality in support with a 43% minority in opposition). Even the Gallup poll cited in this article found that 51% approved of Obama’s new position while 45% opposed. Personally, I agree that this was a calculated political move on Obama’s part (at least, to the extent that his prior claims of opposition were calculated political moves), but the fact is that, at the very least, a significant plurality of the American public left you and your bigotry behind a long, long time ago.
