New Teen Disorder: Self-Embedding

In case anorexia, bulimia and cutting weren't awful enough, there's a new disorder on the rise: self-embedding. Doctors report that young girls have been inserting objects — including needles, staples, glass and crayons — into their skin as a form of self-injury. In one case, a doctor removed a six-inch unfolded staple from a teen girl's arm. Gah!
