My mother named me after the inventor, Thomas Edison. Or as the Chinese would say, Edison Thomas. It was a story she told quite often. But how I then became Eddy is anybody’s guess. I think if a dog started talking to me I would talk back to it, and it wouldn’t be until some time later that I realize dogs aren’t suppose to talk. As the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz discovered, to have a brain but no heart is to be missing something important.
