The IOC should be extremely ashamed of how this was handled, and a formal apology should be made to Lam. The match was clearly awarded to the wrong athlete in this situation. There have been far too many controversies in this year’s games, to the point that I fully believe that the IOC has become corrupt and is no longer adhering to the same spirit and ethics that they claim to be holding the competitors to. The games have become a sham, and that is a shame.
