"I Took Too Many Shrooms Man"

Two Texas A&M students were arrested on drug charges Wednesday in connection with an incident in which police responded to a 911 emergency call and one man allegedly told an officer he "took too many 'shrooms'." When the officer first arrived at the home on Poplar Street, one of the occupants said the call had been an accident. But another occupant, a 19 year-old male, disclosed that he needed to go to the hospital because he had eaten too many mushrooms, police reported. Emergency responders determined that each of the suspects had ingested about two grams of the drug and needed to be taken to the hospital for treatment. Police obtained a search warrant for the home and found nine grams of psilocybin mushrooms inside. The collected sample was sent to the Department of Public Safety Crime Lab for testing and came back positive in late August. Both suspects remained in the Brazos County Jail Wednesday in lieu of $25,000 bail each.
