    How To Conquer Writer's Block

"If I waited for perfection, I would never write a word."

So, your first draft is due tomorrow.

    This is your progress.

    You feel the pressure.

Until you have to physically shake it out.

You call your S.O. And parents. And BFFs.

    And bargain with unknown forces.

    You take a long walk.

Ah, that was invigorating! Now, booze.

    Or caffeine!

    Or both.

You Google work of great writers for further inspiration.

But it just freaks you out. Like, OMG HOW ARE THEY SO GOOD I CAN'T EVEN

But take a deep breath. Collect yourself. Get in the zone.

And remember why you wanted to do this in the first place.

Because perfect is the enemy of good.

So, you sit down. Look that Word doc right in the blinking line.

And, wherever you are, kick it. Right in the symbolic balls.

    You are a literary BEAST.

Remember: The hardest part is getting started.
