Judge Mathis must be happy.
I find it amusing that so many people in the West are so quick to protest against NATO and other symbols of the West, and don’t even realise that the very fact they are able to protest is because of the institutions that they attack. I wonder how long the “Occupy” movement would have lasted in Iran, China, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Russia. I love the fact that the protestors think they are saving the world by standing on a street in Chicago and shouting at police. Why not send medical supplies to the Syrian rebels, or petition your representative to speak up about the abuse of opposition supporters in Belarus and Russia. Or start a campaign to help the street kids of Ukraine who have to live underground. Why not get annoyed about the thousands of opposition members in Iran who have been killed, or the thousands of homosexuals, hanged from a crane in Iranian town centres. Or even, how about joining an NGO and go to South Sudan, to stop an entire people being extinguished by the Arab North for not wanting to convert to Islam. No. Instead let’s just stand in a street in Chicago and take ironic pictures of a bus, and some thuggish looking policeman. At least the police aren’t going to put a black bag over your head and torture you to death in the West.
