13 Dope Reasons To See "DOPE"

Welcome to a day in the life of a geek. See DOPE in theaters June 19.

1. There's Malcolm, your friendly ‘90s hip-hop geek who plays in a punk band, and rides a BMX bike.

Malcolm goes to school in Inglewood, California, and he's applying to college at Harvard. He's chill, he's a straight-A student, and he also knows about bitcoin.

2. You'll love his friend Jib, who you might recognize from the lobby of a certain Budapest hotel.

"TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF MY LOBBY BOY."

3. Malcolm wants the unattainable girl.

We can all relate to that.

4. These kids are in a bit of trouble. Like, they're in way over their heads.

It happens to the best of us.

5. And a lot of wild stuff happens.

Club raids, car chases, and confrontations with gangs and beautiful women. Regular day.

6. You'll hear four original songs from Pharrell.

Like this one: "Don't Get Deleted."

7. A$AP Rocky makes his film debut.

He nails it.

8. And you'll see a ton of other faces from the music world.

Tyga, Casey Veggies, Kap G, Quincy Brown, and Vince Staples all make appearances.

9. Chanel Iman is gorgeous, as usual.

Her character is a hot mess, and she's still gorgeous.

10. It's neat to see Blake Anderson without his bear coat.

He's a musician, he's a scholar, he's an entrepreneur, and he's still kind of a workaholic...

11. Zoë Kravitz is too cool for us to even handle.

Zoë, stop.

12. And the whole thing is gonna make you want to relive the '90s.
