Directed by Sam Rami and starring James Franco as the title character, Oz The Great & Powerful re-imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s enigmatic leader.
Oscar Diggs, an ethically grey circus magician is flung from Kansas to the Land of Oz, where fame and fortune are ripe for the taking from the naive masses. His plans come under fire though when three witches, played by Mila Kunis (Theodora), Rachel Weisz (Evanora), and Michelle Williams (Glinda) become suspicious of his claim to magical power.
