Native Americans with “pure” blood are actually fairly rare— something to do with those diseases Europeans carried over here— which is a big reason we get a bunch of white Americans claiming to have some Native American ancestry. I knew a guy who self-identified as Cherokee despite only having a grandfather from the tribe. By the way, my father’s mother’s mother was Creek!

I know, Depp is playing something he isn’t. Isn’t that crazy? I mean, I remember how homosexual Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenahaal when they were in “Brokeback Mountain”. Remember when Glenn Close was a man the whole time when she portrayed Albert Nobbs? I also love that Kevin Spacey is actually an alien, otherwise “K-Pax” would have been a disaster.
