Ross Levine a year agoOk, I was just listening to as breast cancer fund raiser commercial when I came home. They kept swapping funding breast cancer care with the concept of “ending breast cancer”. Can we just be clear about this, cash money does not cure cancer. Yes, research could eventually lead to a cure, but I think we keep acting like the more money we throw at it (some of which is used to “treat” people with cancer) the closer we get to the cure. I say to the people researching cancer, FUCKING WORK HARDER. Consiedering how long it’s been, and how much money has been raised, and the best we got is still some awful chemical/radiation combo that makes you die slowly and painfully and kills/poisons your insides, perhaps we could maybe do a walkathon to raise better scientists to fix this shit. Even AID/HIV, which is also pathetically in need for a vaccine at this point (among a few other STD’s) has made more progress, at least as far as treatment. Ok end /rant.
