The variant will be on the cover of Aquaman No. 12, on sale August 29th. Writer Geoff Johns told TV Guide:
This is the last thing I ever thought we'd put on an Aquaman cover because it's such a bizarre collision of worlds but I think it's one of the best covers we've ever done...I just love the look on Superman's face!
The cover pays tribute to Aquaman's quest for respect in the DC Comics collaboration with Robot Chicken but the issue itself will be the regular storyline and not a one-off.
