I don't get the Haggis hate. It is delicious. Delicious!

Foie gras can be obtained humainly; many duck and goose farms do this now. The key is to just let the animal pig out on his own. No need to force-feed; they will eat as long as food is available during the migration period. Then you can kill the bird and eat its awesome liver. Delicious. And the bird got an great last meal. It's double win. :)

The ban on mangosteen has been lifted, partially, since 2007. Mangosteens imported to the US have to go through some special irradiation process.

sheep lung is the only ingredient in haggis that is illegal, and even then, only if it's imported. you can totally find us made haggis in the us if you live near a proper scottish population.

I'm not saying all producers of fois gras treat animals properly, but fuck. If you're going to go this route, start pointing out any cruelty done to *any* living animal produced for money.

While Foie Gras was banned from being sold for about 2 years in Chicago, nobody really paid attention to the ban and just continued to sell it anyway or made a point of stating that the foie gras they did serve was free of charge and therefore not subject to any illegalities. Anyway, they lifted the ban over 3 years ago so the folks behind this infographic need to learn to research.
