“We have top men working on it right now.”
“We have top men working on it right now.”
No mention of Aurora Borealis in this list :( “The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?”
“May I see it?”
Just FYI, “Argo’s Cartoon Connection” was an Australian morning kids show which had different cartoons. It was on air from 1989 till 1997.
Here’s why whoever wrote this post is disturbing…it’s a movie! And a darn good one.
Hey Buzzfeed, you forgot to mention The World’s Biggest Orchestra! That’s 7,224 musicians playing the same song at the same time which took place on the 13 July this year in Brisbane, Australia. It officially made the Guinness World Records too and smashed the old record of 6,452 which was previously set by Vancouver. Read all about it here…
Absolutely love this movie! I even have a copy on VHS with the front cover signed by the weird man himself when I met him after his concert a few years ago ^_^
Also the joy of angrily slamming down a phone when hanging up, you can’t do that these days with mobiles or they’d smash to pieces. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caDNtCG1WsE
Here’s a pic of a full size(and fully playable) bar/table top Pac-Man arcade machine made from Lego. Here’s the link for those who wanna check out more of it…
Hymie from Get Smart should be on this list… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mjl1WWfJKlw
These signs have been spotted in Brisbane, Australia. They were vandalized to protest against ludicrous paid parking hikes. News article about the “Poo Here” signs…
You forgot this one, Buzzfeed…
The Mask had a TV cartoon as well. When I was growing up in the 90’s every Saturday morning they had The Mask followed by the Dumb and Dumber cartoon on TV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzdR421Ekv8
There’s a tonne more parodies from TV and movies. Too many to list here of course. Possibly the best one is the ending to the episode: “Homer the Vigilante” where Molloy the cat burglar tells everyone that there is money buried under a “Big T”, it’s a parody of the 1963 movie “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World”(in the movie, the money is buried under a big W). I strongly suggest watching the movie and then the Simpsons episode straight after, it’s pure genius the way they parodied it.
Pfffft she jumped out at only 12,500ft, that’s barely a free fall. I went up and jumped out at 15,000ft a few months back and it was my first time skydiving too :P
Spent hours playing this game back in the day, I still have the original printed GTA poster/map that came with the PC version. When I first played GTA: Vice City it blew my mind after playing the top down view ones.
iPeople iDownloading iOS7 = iSad. Meanwhile, my Windows PC and Android phone are working just fine as always.
The people in these pics who are playing in those waters are all stupid, floods are dangerous. I’ve experienced first hand what a flood can do to a town/city and it ain’t pretty.
It’s good to see that Vinyl has come back in a big way, it’s well overdue. There’s nostalgia, the cover artwork and the physical aspect of seeing the music being played unlike a CD or MP3 where you just push play and that’s it. They are also good because when there is a new album released on Vinyl most record companies allow you to also download a free digital copy so it’s win win. Albums on CD’s are dead to me. I also use a 4 channel JVC MCA-V7E amp from the 1970’s connected to my record player and it still works fine too, always has.
#13 is a good costume. I went as Garth to a 90’s themed party not too long ago, easy costume to make. Though I had to go online and order a white “Wayne Stock” tee but it was totally worth it to see the responses I got. Party on!
I like #5 the best cos I met The Blanks in real life after they did a show in March last year :)
Being an arcade machine collector, numbers #8 and #12 made me sad. Bubble Hockey, Chase HQ, Out Run and a Jurassic Park pinball machine all trashed. Nooooo! >_< Also Sam Kunz, Jurassic Park was released in 1993 not 1994.
What about the ending to the episode “Homer the Vigilante”? It parodies the movie “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World” so well. Pretty bummed how that isn’t on this list.
In Australia we have “Wicked Campers” which have sweet artwork painted on each one. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.371302615939.163870.86887110939&type=3
MTV Classic should resurrect and re-air the old logo ones from the 80’s and 90’s.
Yeah! This song should be number 1 on this list.
Jiminy Jillikers! I still have a tonne of these at home somewhere. #11 and #25 have pretty rad covers.
If that’s what she did to the potatoes, imagine what she did to the gravy :/
PlayStation will always be my console of choice, a part from my arcade machines of course :D I still play the original Tenchu from time to time.
Awesome pics, would love to visit The Pinball Hall of Fame one day. I know a place near me which has a Ted Nugent pinnie and I also know a guy who is currently restoring one of those “Ice Cold Beer” game machines.
Pffft, that’s nothing compared to what’s been happening in Australia in the past few days…we had real floods :(
Yeah #7 doesn’t appear to fit in, unless they’re referring to the 8-bit design on the wall in the background. Still pretty sweet though. I’m glad they destroyed an Excel, those cars are the worst. I’m also surprised Wreck-It Ralph isn’t in cinemas over there yet, it’s been showing over here in Australia since Boxing Day.
The Regatta Hotel in Brisbane, Australia had a one way glass urinal wall which was pretty impressive. It overlooked the beer garden area, lol. http://www.smh.com.au/travel/travel-news/hotel-urinal-makes-a-splash-on-world-top-10-list-20101104-17em5.html Sadly, it’s now gone though as the hotel was refurbished after the 2011 Brisbane floods.
Are you a test paper because I’m TAKING my time looking at you?
Here’s another image from that same machine which sold the condoms. It also sold cans of soup. My friend also scored the 2 cans of V that fell over to the right.
Here’s a photo I took of a vending machine at a Backers Hostel I stayed at once in Surfer’s paradise, Australia. Items on the Middle row from left to right: Packet’s of oats, suncream, soap, paracetamol and condoms! All this machine needed was smokes and booze and you’d be set for a fun night ;)
Bond. Buff Bond.
