Sometimes it's hard to get out of bed
You might be exhausted and unwilling to face the day. Pulling the covers over your head and going back to sleep sounds like a much better idea!
Panic attacks can happen
They feel different for everyone. Just try to get into a safe space where you can ride it out.
But you might feel ashamed for needing help
Know that there is nothing wrong with needing help and most people are willing to give it.
It's sometimes easy to get lost in the dark
It's incredibly frustrating to be sad all the time, especially if you don't know why.
Food doesn't always taste great
Even if it's your favorite food, mental illness can make it taste like sand. (Not literally, but you won't be excited about it like you used to.)
Things you used to love may not be fun anymore
Even picking something to watch on Netflix can be a struggle.
But don't feel bad or hopeless if you get sad again
Relapse is a totally normal thing. It doesn't make you weak or helpless.
Just go to your friends or family because they can support you
And please know that everything will be okay!
If you ever feel hopeless or that you may hurt yourself, please call the national suicide prevention hotline: 1-800-273-8255, or look into counseling sessions. You deserve to be on this earth! You have so much to offer!
