Nope, your eyes aren't playing evil tricks on you. That is, indeed, a lace front beard, aka a BEARD WEAVE, on his face.
For some reason, which is beyond human comprehension, Tyra thought a beard weave would be a good idea.
The beard weave was even ENCOURAGED.
Pretty sure his castmates aren't the biggest fans of it, either.
