Rogues are not the only characters who can stealth or turn invisible, Druids and Mages have similar abilities, which really negates your whole “universally reviled by other characters in the game.” Also your statement about “griefing” other players doesn’t apply. It takes two seconds to report someone for foul play and a GM (Game Master / Customer Report) responds appropriately to the offending player.
