Take Action: Protect Our UK Seas

SIGN THE PETITION: Show the UK government you support the creation of a marine conservation network to protect the UK's threatened sea life. Currently, less than one percent of our seas are protected. Proposals in the UK Marine Act plan to establish 127 Marine Conservation Zones. Public pressure is much needed to make the government realize that in order to protect our marine environments one of the best things we can do is to establish an ecological coherent network of Marine Protected Areas.

DES And Breast Cancer

According to a new study, DES, the anti-miscarriage drug used in the USA but also used in Australia and many European countries decades ago, has been linked to health problems — including breast cancer, infertility, difficult pregnancies and early menopause — in the daughters and the granddaughters of women who took it. The study suggests that one in 50 DES daughters had the chance of developing breast cancer due to their prenatal exposure to DES.
