[Jack's Note: He's shown in the video driving at roughly 40 mph. After an investigation yesterday, Quebec police found the father, who says he regrets letting the boy drive. Which doesn't make any sense to me, since it looks like he's doing a fantastic job.]

It's not like they're taking any more risks than any family 50 years ago didn't. They probably chew lead and drink mercury, too. In all seriousness, if you've ever seen a 7 year old play video games, you know they're WAY more coordinated than any adult. Probably not much less safe than a 16 year old learning to drive, except the airbag would F him up.

Looks like a deserted county road to me, only problem is maybe having the car loaded with family. When I was 8 my grandfather used to let me drive the pickup back from dinner while I sat on his lap. Once I hit 10 years old I was big enough to reach the peddles so he let me drive back home when we went out to eat. Granted this was on a farm community and there wasn't a lot of traffic but it really prepared me for driving and gave me one of the greatest memories I will ever have.
