The general idea behind it is to make have unattainable features such as remarkably smooth skin and ridiculously lush hair so people will keep buying their products thinking it will ultimately do the same.
Keep making women and men look ‘better’ in ads so people keep trying to look ‘better’. Consumers will buy products to look like people who don’t even exist. Least that’s what I remember watching/reading somewhere.<3
